Our brief for this commission was to design and make a commemorative bench for The Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes. This bench was to be prominently placed in the main area where members change into their sailing kit and where the sails are stored. No back or sides to the bench were required and it was important to have a 'slatted' effect to stop water from gathering. The 'Scroll' fitted the bill and with the RYS insignia engraved on each end, the end result is very pleasing.
