My client wanted a simple, unusual piece for her breakfast room to store the cereals, jams etc. It was also a spot for her husband's mail to await collection and finally it should be a suitable stand for a wonderful modern sculpture. The design was left almost entirely up to me so I designed two very different options, one intricate, veneered and inlaid ...... and this solid little number. When I presented this design I made it clear that this would work best with some incredible timber and luckily a local farmer come timber merchant had just the thing!
