The brief was to design and make a pair of side tables to flank the fireplace in the sitting room of a Victorian town house in Notting Hill; the style contemporary but blending in with the classical surroundings. All the stops were pulled out to find some beautiful wood and we eventually settled on some rare macassar ebony. There is very little of this available now so we were thrilled to be able to use this precious sustainably harvested timber.
