These clients were very specific with their needs. They wanted a huge sturdy 6' diameter solid oak table to seat up to 12 people with a ‘lazy susan’ in the middle. I designed a new mechanism for the lazy susan as the client didn't want 'one of those metallic sounding mechanisms'.
We had to search long and hard to find the sheer quantity of exellent quality English oak required, but it was well worth it. The table was delivered in time for Christmas as planned. It takes all the knocks and bangs it should and the oil finish shows off the oak well whilst getting more and more beautiful with age. A great success thanks to the clients' vision.
