Jenny and Chris knew exactly what they wanted; i.e. a very curvaceous, luxurious, elliptical dining table that would expand from a six seater to a twelve seater. Not only that, but the six seater had to be a precise (very small) size and the leaves had to be stored within the table - all in all very tricky to sort out the 'mechanics' whilst being true in a design sense. We got there in the end and our clients were over the moon. The name of the table and indeed the inspiration for the shape of the legs came from their initials J & C. In 2009 we made some very exciting chairs to match (see Gallery 1 - The flute chairs).
