Again, the client had to be very strict with me here to curb my desire to add curves! Having just gutted and completely renovated their Wandsworth house in a very clean uncluttered modern way the last thing they wanted was fussy detail. As often happens when I am forced down a route that is not my usual territory - I get very excited.
When I visited to get measurements and the design brief, the house was a hive of activity and building work. All the more rewarding then, to deliver the table to the finished house in all it's splendour. This was a heavy beast, at 8 foot long, 4 foot wide and 1 1/2" thick, Alan and I could only just lift the top - but it was so worth it.
